At the Shinbukan dojo our primary goal is to enrich your mind and body with a mixture of martial arts techniques including styles from various judo, kenpo karate, and Filipino martial arts systems. And, YES, we have a good time doing it.
While Danzan Ryu Ju Jitsu and Ken Ju Ryo Kenpo may be our primary focus, we also practice fundamentals in other styles like Hawaiian Lua and self-defense for empowering our students.
Sensei Hans Ingebretsen believes in embracing and incorporating different styles into our dojo. Any given day you could see us practicing knife fighting and stick fighting techniques from the Filipino martial systems or performing a staff kata from aikido.
Our dojo offers a WIDE RANGE of classes for all skill levels and age ranges. In fact, our kid’s programs are a great way to help build your child’s self-esteem.
We are part of the greater Kilohana Martial Arts Association of which Sensei Ingebretsen is newly elected President.
What does this mean? This ties us into an absolute network of schools worldwide providing ample, amazing opportunities to cross train with other dojos, attend various specialized seminars, camps, conventions, and competitions.
Centrally located at the Campbell California Community Center, registering for our martial arts classes is easy, convenient, and secure through the Campbell Community Activity Guide website or by calling (408) 866-2105.
